P Dot's Comics

P Dot’s entry into the comic universe began at an early age. As a youngling, he was introduced to the likes of Archie, Jughead and the rest of the Riverdale gang after stumbling upon comics his grandmother had kept loose around the house. Finding the read enjoyable and characters likeable, his thirst for comics began there and as he sought out more comics to read, he came across different types of characters and stories that sparked his imagination. Gravitating towards superhero comics, P Dot was fascinated with the amazing abilities and incredible talents these heroes possessed! His favorites were the heroes of the DC Universe… especially Batman. As P Dot got older, his interests in comics grew and he knew that this would be a passion of his that would stay.

The economics of the industry was also something P Dot was introduced to at an early age. Like many kids raised in a household that did not believe in allowances for kids, P Dot was forced to think of creative ways to raise money to buy the things he wanted. Starting at the age of 12 in 1994, P Dot began selling his sports cards and comic book collection at local flea markets and swap meets in the Los Angeles area. Using the money earned from those sales, he would reinvest in more books and items to sell always with the thought of earning more. You could say that the early seeds that would grow into P Dot’s Comics & Collectibles were planted in these early years.

With the emergence of online sites such as eBay in the late 1990s and early 2000s, it was only natural that selling online was the next move. Beginning in 2001, eBay became a regular outlet and audience for his items for many years. As online selling evolved through the years, so has P Dot's Comics & Collectibles. Livestreams and social media platflorms are a large part of the #teampdot experience. Today, you can catch P Dot hosting live streaming sales twice weekly on Instagram (Thursday/Saturday) and on Whatnot as well.

As the buying and selling grew, the tipping point came in 2010, when the side project and hobby became a full-time job. It was at that time that #teampdot purchased a huge 2000 long box warehouse inventory that kicked things into a new gear! As part of the strategy to sell this massive amount of inventory, P Dot expanded to selling at local collectible shows and different comic cons. It was at this time P Dot’s Comics & Collectibles was officially born. Then in 2012, the opportunity to open a brick and mortar shop presented itself, and our retail store location opened in February 2013.

Still a collector of comics to this day, P Dot enjoys sharing his passion and knowledge of the hobby and industry with his fellow comics enthusiast. With over 30 years of collecting experience and over 25 years of buying and selling comics since a young age, P Dot always strives to bring people the best experience possible no matter the platform, whether online or in person.
